Ye Olde Nags Head in Castleton, Derbyshire is a charming, ‘character’ hotel set in the heart of the stunning Peak District National Park, offering 9 bedrooms, a full service bistro-style restaurant and a cosy real ale bar with regular live music and entertainment events that appeal to both local trade and visitors.

The owners are now seeking to recruit an experienced Sous Chef, working 5 out of 7 days a week, 48 hours approx per week with some flexibility required around working additional hours, especially during busy periods.

With your solid 'hands-on' exposure in a busy hotel or pub/restaurant kitchen environment, you will bring a calm, confident approach to this demanding, yet rewarding role. While you are likely to have a recognised catering college certificate to back up your kitchen experience, you will be working in close partnership with the senior chefs, so we will expect you to add flair, original ideas and a genuine passion for delivering ‘excellence on a plate’.

Salary from £32,000 - £35,000, dependant on relevant experience and you will have 28 days annual leave (Inc. bank Holidays) as well as a contributory pension scheme. Live in accommodation may be available.
