Job Title: Chef – Summer kids HAF Camp (Children’s Holiday Activities and Food Programme)

Contract: Fixed-term (23rd July – 22nd August 2025)
Hours: Weekdays, daytime hours

About Us:
Magna Groups Enterprise Limited is proud to support the local community through engaging and enriching activities for children. As part of the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme, we deliver fun, educational, and healthy experiences for young people during school holidays.

The Role:
We’re looking for a qualified and enthusiastic chef to join our team for the summer HAF camp in Basingstoke. You’ll be responsible for preparing and serving hot, nutritious meals for around 60–70 children each day. The role is ideal for someone passionate about children’s health, nutrition, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and prepare balanced meals in line with nutritional standards for school-aged children
  • Cater for dietary needs, including allergies and cultural preferences
  • Ensure food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards are upheld at all times
  • Manage stock, storage, and kitchen organisation
  • Work with the wider camp team to ensure mealtimes run smoothly

Requirements:

  • Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (minimum)
  • Experience working in a school, nursery, or catering environment (preferred)
  • Awareness of children’s dietary needs and allergies
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)
  • Ability to work independently or part of a small team.
  • Maintain high standards under pressure
  • Excellent time management and communication skills

Desirable:

  • Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Safeguarding training

Dates of Work:
23rd July – 22nd August 2025, Monday to Friday

Pay: £12.50-£14.50 per hour
