We are seeking an experienced Food and Beverage Assistant to join our team at Waverley Abbey House. We dream of Waverley Abbey providing a world-class service in all areas of hospitality, centered around simple excellence. A 5-star experience that allows each guest to understand that they are important to us, and we are here to serve them with kindness and excellence in customer service and will feel in abundance.

Our Food and Beverage Assistants are responsible for the preparation and setting up of our cafe (indoor and outdoor), our event dining and all catering areas ready for service. Serving meals and refreshments to a high standard of service, clearing away and washing up. You will also assist with some catering-related cleaning tasks.

What we are looking for

· 2 +years’ experience in a busy high-profile hospitality venue

· Team player who communicates well with all colleagues

· Must have the same values as all employees at Waverley Abbey.

· Punctual, reliable and trustworthy

· Sense of urgency

· Yes, yes, yes mentality.

· Ability to multitask under pressure and show initiative.

· Have a genuine passion for food and beverage.

· Customer -orientated and service-minded as well as flexible and proactive

· Varying shift times across the seven days to include working evenings, weekends, bank holidays and both opening and closing shifts.

Reporting to: Food and Beverage Operations Manager

Hours: 40 per week on a shift basis

We are not well served by Public Transport so you would need your own transport to get here. Applicants will need to be in sympathy with the aims and ethos of Waverley Abbey Trust.
