Full job description

We are looking to appoint a new Cook/chef to work across our Nursing Homes in the Shipley Are - We have two kitchens within one Home and another Home a 4 minute walk away. The successful Candidate will be responsible for making an active contribution to the smooth running and service delivery of the kitchen. The successful candidate will have a strong background in catering, and will be trained to NVQ or equivalent standard. You will take pride in providing a first-class quality menu, taking responsibility for ensuring that all meals are nutritionally balanced and of the highest standard. You will be responsible for assisting in menu design, and will be passionate about creating the best possible dishes to ensure a varied and exciting menu choice. This role provides a better work life balance than traditional hospitality roles working sociable hours. 40 Hours per week. All offers will be subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check and references.

Job Duties:

  • Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
  • Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Maintain a clean working station whilst adhering to health & safety standards
  • Assist with the cleaning and organisation of kitchen and equipment
  • Restock items as needed throughout the shift
  • Adhere to all food hygiene & safety standards
  • Weekley food orders/ audits
