Catering Supervisor | Permanent | 40 Hours per Week | Monday to Friday, Daytimes | Term Time - 39 Weeks per Year

The Role

As Catering Supervisor, you'll be responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of the cafe operation, ensuring excellent customer service, high-quality food and beverages, and an inviting environment throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the daily operation of a catering operation
  • Lead, motivate and support the catering team during service.
  • Prepare and serve high-quality barista-style drinks and food.
  • Deliver friendly, professional customer service at all times.
  • Ensure the cafe is clean, well-presented and fully stocked.
  • Complete opening and closing procedures.
  • Monitor stock levels, stock rotation and minimise waste.
  • Carry out food safety, allergen and HACCP checks.
  • Operate tills, EPOS systems and complete cash reconciliation.
  • Support promotional activities and events where required.
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety and hygiene.
About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys working in a busy hospitality environment and thrives on delivering excellent customer experiences.
You'll ideally have:
  • Previous experience as a Catering Supervisor, Coffee Shop Supervisor, Café Supervisor, Senior Barista or similar.
  • Experience working within a busy café, coffee shop or hospitality operation.
  • A Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • A good understanding of HACCP, allergens and food safety legislation.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills.
  • Experience using till and EPOS systems.
  • A proactive, positive approach with excellent communication skills.
  • The ability to remain calm and organised during busy service periods.
