Job: Catering Assistant

Pay under 18: £9.84 per hour

18-21: £10.19 per hour

Pay over 21: £12.32 per hour

Hours Per Week: 1 x 37.5 hours, 5 days out of 7, Flexible times

Work Location area: Stoke-on-Trent ST1 5SZ

Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Catering Assistant to work with immediate start within our Business and Industry Sector in the ST1 area of Stoke-on-Trent.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with preparation of meals using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty.
  • Help to keep the kitchen and food areas clean and tidy, ensuring food and supply items are stored correctly.
  • Stock rotation, filling of fridges.
  • Must be highly reliable
  • Good team player

Ideal Candidate:

  • Will have previous catering experience with a basic understanding of food hygiene and health and safety issues

The successful candidate will be working front and back of house, will be expected to greet customers warmly and serve them to their requests, will be preparing salads and sandwiches, ensure food safety/hygiene, stock up, have used a till and wash up.

Uniform and training will be provided.
