At Peartree Barn Nursery, we offer child-focused care for children from 3 months to 12 years. Our unrivalled space within our rural location offers a relaxed and family orientated experience. The availability of play space means our children have unparalleled access to wide-open green and all weather outdoor play. We are currently seeking a versatile candidate to be part of our nursery team taking on cooking for the children in attendance daily and general housekeeping duties on site with the possibility of driving duties depending on age and driving experience.
Responsibilities
- Preparing and cooking healthy meals and snacks for the children each day.
- General housekeeping and cleaning duties, ensuring the kitchen & nursery premises are clean and tidy.
- Completing all paperwork required for kitchen record keeping & food safety.
- Providing support to the staff teams working with the children as required.
- To create a monthly or five week menu plan for lunches and snacks with the support of the management team.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- To have experience working in a kitchen or catering for a large number of people.
Desirable Skills
- At least 1 years experience working in a kitchen.
- Have a valid Food Hygiene certificate.
- To have an understanding of Food Hygiene and Standards Legislation.
- To be able to work independently within the kitchen.

Pay: £12.56 per hour
