Full job description

Job Role: Cook

Location: The Manor Residential Home

Pay: Starting at £13.20 per hour, increasing to £13.50 after in-house training

Hours: Part-time (26 hours per week)

Reporting to: Care Home Manager

Please note we are unable to provide sponsorship.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person with previous catering experience to run our kitchen which produces the daily meals for 27 residents. The successful candidate must have a good knowledge of providing fresh nutritional meals and understand the dietary needs of older people.

The normal working week is 26 hours and includes working every other weekend, although we require you to be flexible and cover additional shifts if the need arises. Shift times are 07:30am to 2:30pm.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a cooking environment.
  • Good understanding of dietary requirements
  • Good understanding of Environmental Health and Infection Control
