Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Food and Beverage Assistant to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a vibrant hospitality environment, providing exceptional service to our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and experience in food and beverage service. This paid position is suitable for individuals looking to develop their career within the catering and hospitality industry.

Duties

  • Serve food and beverages to customers in a courteous and efficient manner
  • Assist with food preparation tasks as required, ensuring high standards of hygiene and safety
  • Take customer orders accurately and process transactions promptly
  • Set up dining areas, including table arrangements and presentation of cutlery and crockery
  • Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, bar, and service stations throughout shifts
  • Support baristas with drink preparation when necessary, including coffee and specialized beverages
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations at all times
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest needs promptly and professionally
  • Assist in catering events or special functions as needed

Requirements

  • Previous experience in catering, serving, or hospitality roles is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
  • Knowledge of food safety standards is advantageous
  • Experience in food preparation or restaurant environments is desirable
  • Barista experience is a plus but not mandatory
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during busy periods
  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour
  • Ability to work well within a team and independently when required
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings if necessary
  • A genuine interest in delivering outstanding customer service
  • Weekend and weekday availability required
