Full job description

If working in the hospitality industry is your passion, it can have its downsides such as; working split shifts and Christmas Day, experiencing difficulty in finding enough time for family occasions, booking time away from work to do the ‘parent’ stuff. If you agree you could take advantage of a rare opportunity to join an acclaimed event catering team that wants you to have a life outside of work. Hospitality is a tough trade to work in so why not investigate this position to progress your catering career further? If so; this position could be of interest. We are a busy, highly regarded event catering company based in the beautiful County of Herefordshire. Over more than a decade we have worked hard to earn an outstanding reputation for quality, creativity and attention to detail.

Most of our business is centred on the wedding market. We offer exceptional personalised service to each of our clients whether they are planning a formal marquee wedding for 400 guests or an intimate dinner party for close friends.

The Position

• Skilled lead management of busy event kitchen teams on location.

• The ability to work closely with front of house leaders prior to and during events.

Most of our events are at weekends, prep work is largely achieved during weekday daytime hours. This position would be attractive to chefs not wanting to work numerous late nights and split shifts in their standard working week.

A passion for good food is key within this role. Enthusiasm in sourcing quality, local ingredients, careful preparation and thoughtful presentation are essential qualities we are looking for. A keen interest in contemporary food would also be fundamental to this position as we constantly research and develop our menus.

Experience

A minimum of four years of kitchen work is required.

Experience in running larger events would be extremely valuable.

Qualifications
