Chef de Partie

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a reliable, positive, and passionate Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will take pride in producing high-quality food, maintaining our existing standards, and paying special attention to stock control and cost management.

You must have experience working in a busy kitchen environment—90 dinner covers are typical in summer—and be comfortable in a fresh food operation, working with quality local produce. Experience across all kitchen sections, including pastry, is essential, and you must be able to work well within a team.

Attention to detail, culinary expertise, and creativity are key. We want someone with passion and innovation to help enhance our menus and the overall dining experience. Butchery and fish preparation skills are desirable.

Please note: Staff accommodation is not available.

The Role

The business is committed to fostering a positive work-life balance and, as such, we are introducing a 45-hour, four-day working week, while remaining flexible to individual circumstances.

About the Cornwall Hotel, Spa and Estate

The Cornwall started life In the late 1800s when a local banker built the grand White House as his family home, complete with rambling estate and Victorian walled garden. The property fell into disrepair during the late 20th Century before being brought back to life to reopen in 2010 as the stunning Hotel we know today.

Preserving much of the character and original features, today’s Cornwall Hotel & Spa is one of the county’s top accommodation providers, featuring a modern hotel extension and impressive spa in the converted stone barn. Facilities include 65 hotel rooms, 22 self-catering woodland lodges, restaurant, bar, tea room, gym and spa with indoor pool. Popular with families and couples, the Hotel offers an escape from the demands of everyday life in a tranquil 43 acre countryside setting.

All staff are instrumental in giving guests and visitors a seamless experience, encouraging repeat visits, positive reviews and brand loyalty.
