Industrial Cleaner

The Role:
Cleaning and preparation of used commercial bakery and catering equipment for resale.

Duties include:

· vacuuming and scraping dough, flour etc. off machines, tables, racks etc.

· washing off ingrained grease dirt etc. from all internal and external surfaces

· scrubbing plastic trays, containers, and machine panels

· polishing stainless steel surfaces

· stock control

· moving items around the workshop

and if you have the skills and ability to do so:

· assisting with removing and refitting machines covers and panels

· using small hand tools to aid cleaning

· operating a hot jet washer

You must possess good attention to detail skills as items are sold to bakeries and need to be ready to use immediately.

When the weather permits, if you like the outdoors some jobs can be performed outside in the sunshine.

We operate in a very small friendly team environment; hence this is a very varied role. We do not require you to have all the skills listed above, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn is essential.

You need to be self motivated, able to work on your own initiative, willing to work unsupervised and as part of a very small team, be totally reliable and have a friendly “can do” attitude. You must also be content to undertake a DBS (police record) check.

The hours of work are flexible, with early start/finishes and overtime available. Our normal operating hours are Monday to Friday (9am – 5:30pm with half hour unpaid lunch break).

Applicants of all ages and experience will be considered.

The wages are; £30,000-£32,000 per year (based upon a 40 hour week), dependent on relevant experience.
