Wall Eden Farmshop and Cafe Bar is situated in a lovely, relaxed setting on the Somerset levels. We have Guests staying in our wooden lodges with hot tubs and pet friendly glamping pods who pop in for coffee and light bites.

Location: Wall Eden Farm, Highbridge, Somerset TA9 3PU (20 miles from Taunton, 12 miles from Weston) Easy commute just off M5

Hours: Friday to Sunday 8.30am to 3pm (approx 15 to 20 hrs per week)

Duration: Summer Holidays late June - beg Sept

Cook/Chef We are looking for a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic Cook/Chef to join our welcoming team at Wall Eden Farm for the summer holidays.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently in a relaxed environment. The role may particularly suit someone who currently works in a school or education setting and is looking for additional work during the summer holidays, though we welcome applications from anyone with the right experience.

Duties include:

  • Preparing and cooking breakfast items, including our popular bacon rolls and breakfast baps.
  • Preparing simple, freshly made light lunches such as Ploughman's platters, sandwiches and similar café-style dishes.
  • Maintaining high standards of food presentation and cleanliness.
  • Managing the kitchen independently and ensuring food safety procedures are followed at all times.
  • Monitoring stock levels and reporting any ordering requirements.

About You:

  • Previous experience working as a cook or chef in a café, restaurant or similar catering environment.
  • Able to work confidently on your own and manage a small kitchen.
  • Friendly, organised and reliable with a positive attitude.
  • Passionate about producing quality homemade food and dishes.
  • Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate is essential.
