Weekend Care Home Cook
£16.00 – £16.50 per hour | West Byfleet
Hours: Saturday & Sunday, 7am – 4pm | Opportunity for extra overtime shifts

At CHD Living, we know the saying “an army marches on its stomach” still holds true—nutrition is essential to keeping our residents healthy and happy. We’re looking for an experienced, creative, and caring Cook to join our West Byfleet care home team.

About the Role:
As our Care Home Cook, you’ll create delicious, nutritious meals tailored to the needs of our residents, including those with specialist dietary requirements. Menus frequently change with the seasons, so your creativity in the kitchen will be welcomed. You’ll manage stock, work within budgets, and ensure all food is prepared safely and to the highest standards.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Passion for cooking and providing high-quality meals.
  • NVQ/QCF Level 3 (or equivalent) in catering.
  • Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • Motivation, reliability, and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and respect residents’ individual preferences and dignity.

If you don’t yet have the formal qualifications but have catering experience and a genuine interest in working in a care environment, we’ll support you to develop into an excellent Cook!
