Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our Medicine Management Team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the Medicine Management Team operations and ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of care. You will assist pharmacist in various tasks, including
- reconcile discharge and out patient letters from hospitals, intermediate care and into care homes, including identifying and rectifying unexplained changes and working with patients and community pharmacists to ensure patients receive the medicines they need post discharge.
- Set up and manage systems to ensure continuity of medicines supply to high risk groups of patients and monitoring DOAC's
Duties
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality is upheld at all times.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and surgery policies.
- Monitor LTC & DOAC's
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is paramount for this role
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills are crucial for success in this role.
- Ability to demonstrate effective communication skills, particularly in patient care interactions.
- Knowledge of medication administration processes is advantageous.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of professionalism and ethical practice within the surgery setting.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in pharmacy technology are required
