Role Overview

Due to growth, we are looking for reliable and safety-focused Process Operators to join our production team. In this 3 shift based, hands-on role you will help manufacture high-quality materials by operating machinery, handling materials and following established processes to meet production, quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that all activities associated with the manufacturing process are carried out in compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards.
• Manufacture products according in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), safe working procedures (SWPs) and work instructions. Report in writing any deviations from these procedures immediately to the appropriate parties.
• Complete and maintain all necessary documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Immediately report any accidents, incidents, near misses, equipment faults and unsafe acts/conditions using the appropriate reporting systems
• Weigh, blend and process material in accordance with production requirements
• Submit samples to the Laboratory as required
• Carry out routine low level maintenance and report breakdowns to the Maintenance Department
• Maintain clear material, batch identity through process stream
• Operate Fork Lift Trucks (FLT’s) and other authorised mobile equipment where training and required
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping in accordance with site standards
• Participate in toolbox talks and safety briefings
• Participate in training and competency assessments
• Assist with the training of new operators where competent
• Work flexibly across different shift patterns and departments to meet business requirements
• Carry out any other reasonable duties within the scope of the role and capability as per instruction from Management

Who We’re Looking For

• GCSE Maths and English (Grade C or above) or equivalent
• Experience in heavy/medium manufacturing environment
• Ability to follow work instructions and independently work to safe working procedures
• Fork Lift Truck Licence (desirable)

Working Pattern

This is a full time role (Monday – Friday) working 3 shifts.
