Sovereign Automotive works with insurance brokers, repairers and insurers to support clients involved in non-fault accidents. We provide replacement hire vehicles, coordinate repairs and manage the claim process, delivering a seamless and high-quality service from first contact through to vehicle return.

As a Relief Valeter, the primal purpose of the role is to ensure, the cleanliness and maintenance of Hire cars and vans. From the instant, the vehicles are delivered back to the depot; the fleet must be ready to be placed on hire with the next customer.

Zero hour contract – Flexible working hours

The overall purpose of this position is to ensure the vehicle is cleaned both inside and outside to a high standard, in a timely and efficient manner, checking oil level, tyre pressure and screen wash are all monitored and adjusted for customer use. Always offering a high standard of customer service to clients in relation to their road traffic accident claim.

- Ensure the preparation of hire fleet vehicles to a high standard for delivery to customers, adhering to the relevant procedures and completing all required documents.

- Ensuring that vehicles required for the following days deliveries are accounted for and prepared.

- Ensuring that the depot parking area remains organised at all times with different vehicles allocated different areas as directed by the depot management.

- Maintaining the yard and valet area to a high standard at all times.

- Monthly stock checks at valet materials, chemicals and equipment.

- Preparation of the yard in order for easy access for collection of vehicles by salvage agents or other Kindertons employees when appropriate.

- Assisting depot administrators in dealing with damaged fleet vehicles by photographing those vehicles and taking for estimate and the designated fleet repairer.

- Ensuring all vehicle checks are completed, such as checking tyre pressure, fuel levels and screenwash for every vehicle out for delivery.

- Working as part of a team, attending team meetings and contributing where appropriate.

- Any other duties reasonably requested by line manager.

Able to multitask and reprioritise throughout the day – to complete the daily Valeting of vehicles out for delivery.

Confident and Personable– to ensure that we offer the very best level of service to every client we engage with.

An understanding of the maintenance and mechanical parts of a vehicle.

Ability to work on your own initiative and within a team

Comfortable working towards targets

Be organised and able to work within set time frames.

The individual must have held a full Driving license for at least one year.

If the license holds three points or more – The individual must be prepared to declare this information and details of the points at interview stage.

- The role of Valeter, does not usually involve driving any fleet vehicles off site, if this is requested of a Manager, the individual should always complete a vehicle license checking form. (D906)

- 12.07% holiday entitlement added to hourly rate of pay.
