Are you a passionate Activity Co-ordinator who has a keen interest for the wellness for the elderly who love later life?

Do you drive and are looking for a varied role covering the North East area including Newcastle, Sunderland and Middlesboeough with the possible benefits of a hybrid nature?

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Wellness Coordinator / Activities Coordinator to design, implement, and oversee engaging wellness programs and activities that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being for our community/residents/employees. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and a passion for fostering a positive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, coordinate, and lead wellness and recreational activities tailored to the needs and interests of participants.

Plan and implement health and wellness programs, workshops, and events focusing on physical fitness, mental health, nutrition, and social engagement.

Collaborate with healthcare professionals, fitness instructors, and other stakeholders to provide comprehensive wellness services.

Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and participant satisfaction; make improvements as needed.

Maintain accurate records of activities, attendance, and outcomes.

Provide support and encouragement to participants, promoting a safe and inclusive environment.

Manage scheduling, budget, and resources related to wellness activities.

Stay up-to-date with current wellness trends, techniques, and best practices.

Communicate regularly with participants, staff, and management to ensure alignment and engagement.

Qualifications:

Experience in Health Promotion and Recreation

Proven experience in wellness program coordination, activities management, or related roles.

Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Ability to motivate and engage diverse groups of people.

Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.

CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
