The Role:

We are on the lookout for a seasoned Tax Manager with a comprehensive background in various tax disciplines, including a strong focus on R&D tax credits, capital allowances, film tax credits, and particularly expertise in dealing with both domiciled and non-domiciled HNW individuals' tax affairs. The ideal candidate will possess an extensive understanding of the property sector and VAT, capable of providing top-tier advice and solutions to our clientele.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and compliance for tax matters for a diverse client portfolio, with a special focus on HNW individuals, both domiciled and non-domiciled in the UK.
  • Offer expert guidance on R&D tax credits, capital allowances, film tax credits, and VAT, maximizing clients' tax efficiency.
  • Specialise in property taxation, advising on the tax implications for property investments and developments.
  • Keep up to date with tax legislation changes, advising clients on potential impacts and strategic opportunities.
  • Represent clients in dealings with HMRC, managing enquiries and investigations with professionalism and tact.
  • Ensure integrated client service delivery by collaborating with other departments.
  • Guide and mentor junior staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

ACA, ATT/CTA qualified or equivalent.

  • Demonstrable experience in a tax-focused role within an accountancy practice, with specific emphasis on managing the tax affairs of HNW domiciled and non-domiciled individuals.
  • Deep knowledge of VAT, along with expertise in R&D tax credits, capital allowances, and ideally, film tax credits.
  • Proficient in the nuances of the property sector's taxation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • A proactive approach to continuous professional development and staying updated with tax legislation.
  • Leadership skills with experience in managing and developing a team.
