Chartered Certified Accountant jobs

A growing Chartered Certified Accountants practice is urgently recruiting for a friendly, motivated and professional individual with a solid background to assist our growing team.

The role is to be responsible for a portfolio of varied industry clients and take responsibility of the job from start to finish.

Applicants should have a minimum of 18 months experience as a Semi Senior preparing statutory financial accounts in a UK Accountancy Practice. This is essential.

Accounting Duties include:

• Preparation of statutory accounts from primary records through to draft versions for review, including reconciling control accounts such as trade debtors and trade creditors; calculating and posting entries for depreciation and amortisation, identification and calculation of accrued and prepaid expenses; preparation of the profit and loss schedules;
• Preparing financial statements for sole traders and partnerships
• Prepare CT600 returns and calculations for review
• Assist Senior team members with Audit work
• Liasing with clients to ensure queries are resolved satisfactorily
• Ensuring assignments are completed within budgets and to strict deadlines.
• Liaising with directly with clients
• Other general ad hoc duties.

Individual:

• A working knowledge of UK accounting framework and tax legislation;
• Fluent English speaker and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Currently studying for either the ACCA, ACA or a similar qualification;
• Knowledge of Sage softwares including posting bank, sales and purchase transactions and processing journal adjustments;
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Outlook;
• Self-motivated and ability to work independently and to tight deadlines;
• Confident and polite telephone manner;
• Ability to work well as part of a team;

It is essential that candidates have gained 18 months experience as a Semi Senior and have experience preparing Statutory financial accounts within an accountancy practice in UK. The role includes management of client relationships and expectations and liaising with the other members of the team.

The job is available on a full time or part time basis with a minimum of 24 hours per week. Salary will be pro-rated based on number of days and hours worked.

Pay: From £29,000.00 per year
