About the opportunity

This is an opportunity to register your interest in future Construction Manager positions within site and construction management. Roles of this type could support the delivery of complex building projects across the UK, contributing to infrastructure development that shapes communities and workplaces.

You could be joining collaborative, dynamic project teams operating across multiple locations nationwide, including Manchester, Birmingham and London. The work could involve partnering with site teams, engineers, contractors and stakeholders to keep construction programmes moving forward on schedule and within budget, with scope to take ownership of defined project delivery areas.

What you would do

Typical responsibilities could include:

  • Managing day-to-day site operations and construction delivery
  • Coordinating with architects, engineers and trade contractors to ensure project alignment
  • Monitoring project timelines, budgets and resource allocation
  • Conducting site inspections and quality checks to maintain standards
  • Maintaining clear communication with site teams, clients and senior management
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety and regulatory requirements
  • Problem-solving on-site issues and managing change requests
  • Contributing to project planning and schedule management

What you could bring

Most roles of this type require the following:

  • Proven experience in construction management or site management on medium to large-scale projects
  • Working knowledge of construction methodologies, safety regulations and quality standards
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and team coordination
  • Familiarity with construction scheduling, budgeting and resource planning
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline
  • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification or equivalent health and safety qualification
  • Relevant certifications such as QARA, QMS or First Aid
  • Full UK driving licence

Nice-to-have experience could include:

  • Experience with large-scale infrastructure or commercial construction projects
  • Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modelling) or construction management software
  • Previous experience managing subcontractors and vendor relationships
  • Project management certifications
