Job Title: Skills Assessor – CIPD & CMI
Location: London, UK (6 days per year in office)
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum

Due to rapid growth within the business, we’re looking for a Skills Assessor to join our amazing team at Leep Talent, part of Leep Group! This is an exciting opportunity to join a fantastic organisation making a difference within the community.

We are seeking a knowledgeable and learner-focused Skills Assessor to support the delivery and assessment of our CIPD and CMI programmes. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing learner submissions, providing high-quality feedback, and supporting learners throughout their qualification journey to ensure positive outcomes and achievement.

This role combines assessment responsibilities with learner support, requiring someone who can confidently guide learners through course content, assessment expectations and professional development. You will play a key role in maintaining quality standards, learner engagement and timely achievement across a range of professional qualifications.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of CIPD and/or CMI qualifications, experience within adult education or training, and a passion for supporting learners to succeed.

Main Responsibilities

  • Mark and assess learner assignments and assessments for CIPD and CMI programmes in line with awarding body standards and internal quality assurance processes, providing clear, constructive and developmental written feedback to support learner progression and achievement.
  • Monitor learner progress and proactively identify learners requiring additional support or intervention.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of learner progress, assessment outcomes and communications on internal systems.
  • Remain up-to-date with CIPD and CMI qualification requirements, assessment criteria and industry best practice.
  • Ensure all safeguarding, compliance and data protection procedures are always followed.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience in a similar role assessing CIPD qualifications within an education, training or apprenticeship environment.
  • Occupationally competent with relevant industry experience within HR, Learning & Development, Management or Business functions.
  • L5 HR or business-relation qualification, assessor’s qualification, and L2 English & Maths qualifications.

Learner-facing roles that involve working directly with learners will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, including relevant barred list checks. All other roles will require a Basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check as part of our safer recruitment process. The successful candidate must also complete all pre-employment vetting and will complete safeguarding training during their induction.

Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per hour
