Café Supervisor

£27,000 PA- MONDAY to FRIDAY DAYTIME

We are looking for a great person to join our fantastic and friendly team at Bournemouth University Lansdowne Campus on a full time basis.

Offering you an excellent work life balance with mainly Monday to Friday shifts and very only occasional Saturdays (8 per year).

We are looking for an experienced Cafe Supervisor who takes pride in providing the highest level of customer service to a consistent standard and enjoy working in a fast pace buzzing student environment.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day operation, ensuring our branded Costa café outlet run smoothly and helping to deliver a truly incredible student experience.

You will also be responsible for assisting with the delivery of a prebooked hospitality service for the university at this site. Driving Licence is essential.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supervisoring the Cafe Team (2) to ensure we continually exceed expectations
  • Assisting with managing the day to day cafe operations, monitoring targets, and implementing action plans
  • Coaching the team, leading from the front with a hands-on operational approach to make sure everyone can excel in their role
  • Managing cafe stock and placing orders, ensuring compliance to Health & Safety/Food Safety legislation
  • Work closely with the wider senior university catering team in developing future offers, marketing, and development in service standards

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Be passionate about exceptional customer service
  • Have previous cafe experience in a similar role
  • Have experience supervising teams
  • Have excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Driving License essential (work vehicle on site)
