Full job description

Overview

This is a commercially driven, hands-on role at the heart of our digital business. You'll take full ownership of our Shopify store — from storefront to checkout — and be responsible for eCommerce performance across revenue, conversion, Average Order Value and customer lifetime value.

Beyond the store, you'll own email marketing via Klaviyo, manage the trading calendar, and play a key part in launching and growing new channels — including Amazon UK and, working alongside Primofare, our Amazon US and Shopify US partner. You'll work closely with the Head of Brand Communication & eCommerce and collaborate across the business to make sure every campaign, launch and promotion lands with impact.

We're looking for someone who combines sharp commercial instincts with the ability to execute — someone who can spot an opportunity in the data, act on it quickly, and always keep the customer experience front of mind. You'll be comfortable working in a digital environment, confident picking up new tools and technologies, and genuinely curious about where eCommerce is heading next.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Shopify Ownership & Site Performance

  • Take full end-to-end ownership of the Shopify storefront: navigation, collections, PDPs, merchandising, and direct execution of onsite changes
  • Optimise site speed, conversion rate, checkout flow and new integrations to improve performance continuously
  • Keep the site visually engaging and on-brand — product pages, homepage, landing pages and seasonal content all maintained to a high standard
  • Monitor daily and weekly trading performance, reacting quickly to opportunities and flagging issues early
  • Co-ordinate development tasks with the team or external developers and plan new Shopify enhancements with our Shopify partner

Trading & Campaigns

  • Own the eCommerce trading calendar — planning and executing product launches, homepage updates, promotions and seasonal moments
  • Support cross-team campaigns so every drop lands with clarity and impact, from copy to collection to post-purchase flow
  • Work closely with the cheese team and warehouse to make sure every order moves smoothly from purchase to dispatch
  • Flag any fulfilment or stock issues early and help find practical solutions

Email Marketing & CRM

  • Build and deliver campaigns and automated flows via Klaviyo — from seasonal promotions to evergreen retention sequences
  • Own the email calendar, attending planning meetings and continuously optimising performance through testing
  • Co-ordinate with customer service to optimise the post-purchase experience and resolve any Shopify-related technical queries

New Channels & Projects

  • Lead the launch and ongoing operation of Amazon UK — from initial setup, listings and account health through to fulfilment monitoring and performance optimisation
  • Work with Primofare, our Amazon US and Shopify US partner, to support and grow our North American eCommerce presence
  • Explore and plan launching new sales channels such as social commerce, managing setup and day-to-day operation once live
  • Plan new product and selection launches for eCommerce, working with the wider team on range development

Reporting & Insight

  • Own eCommerce performance reporting — tracking the numbers that matter and turning them into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Keep an eye on eCommerce trends and competitor activity, bringing relevant insights to the table

Essential skills set

  • Proven hands-on experience managing a Shopify store end-to-end
  • Commercially minded — comfortable owning revenue and conversion target
  • Strong analytical skills — reads data, spots opportunities, acts on them
  • Solid understanding of merchandising, UX and customer journey principles
  • Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail
  • Self-starter who manages competing priorities and delivers without being chase
  • Clear communicator — written and verbal — who works well across teams
  • Creative eye — knows what good looks like on a product page and in an email

Desirable

  • Experience with Klaviyo or a comparable email/CRM platform
  • Familiarity with Amazon Seller Central or marketplace management
  • Google Analytics 4 or similar web analytics tools
  • Experience with Shopify apps, integrations or development co-ordination
  • Experience in B2C eCommerce, food retail or premium consumer goods
  • Understanding of order management and fulfilment processes
  • A genuine passion for artisan food, cheese or premium grocery
