Full job description

We are looking for an experienced chef to lead our client’s kitchen cafe team.

The cafe is open Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and we need someone who takes real pride in their work and can hold their own in a busy kitchen. The cafe is closed in the evenings.

The role is hands-on — you'll be preparing ingredients, cooking to our recipes and standards, keeping the kitchen clean and well organised. Once settled, you will be involved in menu changes and have the opportunity to create specials. A solid understanding of food hygiene is essential, as is previous experience in a kitchen environment.

You will be joining a small, friendly, hardworking team, so the ability to work both independently and together as a team is important, as is staying composed during busier periods.

You MUST have previous experience of running a kitchen on your own or be looking for the next step up with at least 3 years previous experience.
