An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Management Duo – General Manager & Head Chef to take on the running of The Glasshouse Inn at May Hill, a beautiful country pub in the Gloucestershire countryside.

The Glasshouse is a quintessentially British pub with a strong reputation for great food and warm hospitality. Alongside the pub and restaurant, the business has guest accommodation including lodges and cabins, making it a popular base for visitors exploring the Forest of Dean and surrounding area.

We’re looking for an experienced hospitality couple who want to run a pub together, lead a great team and put their own stamp on the business, with the backing of Quality Inns, a family-run pub group operating across Gloucestershire and Devon.

About you

We’re looking for two experienced hospitality professionals applying together, ideally with previous experience in a busy, food-led pub, restaurant or similar hospitality environment.

Between you, you'll need:

  • Strong pub, restaurant or hospitality management experience
  • Head Chef or senior kitchen leadership experience
  • A hands-on approach to leadership
  • Strong commercial awareness, including GP, budgets and wastage
  • Excellent people-management and customer-service skills
  • The ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Confidence managing a busy operation with multiple responsibilities
  • A genuine passion for great pubs, food and hospitality

Previous experience managing guest accommodation or booking systems would be an advantage.

  • £65,000 combined salary (£32,500 per person)
