Pastry Chef de Partie – Come and Create Something Delicious!

Monachyle Mhor Hotel, Balquhidder, Stirlingshire
Live-in or live-out | Immediate start available

Do you love creating beautiful desserts, freshly baked breads, pastries and cakes? Are you happiest with a piping bag in your hand and something delicious in the oven?

We’re looking for a talented and enthusiastic Pastry Chef/Chef de Partie to join our friendly kitchen team at Monachyle Mhor Hotel—an award-winning restaurant and hotel in one of the most stunning parts of Scotland.

You don’t need to be a Head Pastry Chef or have managed a large pastry department. We’re looking for someone with good practical pastry experience, plenty of enthusiasm and the confidence to look after a pastry section with support from our Executive Chef and Sous Chefs.

You’ll help prepare and deliver our desserts, breads, pastries and cakes to a consistently high standard, while keeping your section organised and working within agreed budgets.

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Have previous professional pastry experience
  • Are confident making desserts, breads, pastries and cakes
  • Have worked in a quality restaurant, hotel or busy kitchen
  • Can organise and run your section during service
  • Enjoy being creative and developing your skills
  • Take pride in presentation and attention to detail
  • Are reliable, positive and enjoy being part of a team
  • Can stay calm when the kitchen gets busy
  • Are happy to share ideas and support junior team members

Fine-dining, Rosette experience would be helpful, but it is not essential. A positive attitude, genuine pastry ability and a willingness to learn are just as important to us.

What’s in it for you?

  • Competitive salary for 40 hour week
  • Paid weekly, share of tips paid weekly, cash tips paid Monthly
  • Live-in accommodation available which will be a static caravan on site. Rent is £55 per week
  • Live-out option for local candidates
  • The chance to work with an experienced, award-winning kitchen team led by Scott Davies our Executive Chef.
  • Support and opportunities to develop your pastry skills
  • A creative working environment where your ideas are welcomed
  • An incredible rural location surrounded by lochs, mountains and fresh Scottish air
  • Immediate start available

Applicants must already have the legal right to work in the UK. Unfortunately, we cannot offer visa sponsorship for this position.

If pastry is your passion and you would love to create memorable desserts in a beautiful Scottish setting, we’d love to hear from you—apply today!
