Full job description

The Haslem Group are recruiting for a dedicated commi chef s at The Haslem Hotel, Lisburn. As a Chef, you'll play a crucial part in keeping your kitchen section running smoothly and efficiently. Your job involves maintaining top-notch hygiene standards and creating dishes that match up to industry requirements and specifications.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Oversee the mis-en-place of the kitchen, focusing on your assigned section and managing kitchen service for your designated area
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef and culinary team to facilitate requisition of supplies
  • Engage with the Head Chef and culinary team to discuss matters pertaining to food preparation and service
  • Foster positive and productive relationships within the team and among colleagues
  • Uphold elevated standards of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene
  • Promptly report equipment issues and malfunctions to the Head Chef
  • Participate in relevant training sessions as needed
  • Demonstrate flexibility by assuming additional responsibilities when required
  • Familiarise yourself with our Core Values "Haslem" aligning with the desired behaviours expected from all employees
  • Adhere to company regulations, including but not limited to fire safety, health and safety, first aid protocols, and food hygiene guidelines
  • Maintain proper attire and a high level of personal cleanliness consistently

Essential Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience
  • Availability to work full-time hours, including weekends
