Full job description

Experienced Head Chef – Meat & Social | Wembley Park

Meat & Social is a thriving meat-focused restaurant in the heart of Wembley Park, built around quality ingredients, bold flavours, expert butchery, and a strong dining experience.

Since opening, we have established ourselves as an exciting and growing concept, with a busy restaurant, regular events, and a clear focus on premium meats, grilling, butchery, and high standards across both food and service.

We are now looking for an experienced and motivated Head Chef to take control of the kitchen, lead the back-of-house team, and help drive the next stage of the business forward.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and experienced Head Chef who understands the demands of a busy kitchen, has strong leadership skills, and is comfortable taking ownership of standards, consistency, food quality, stock control, GP, hygiene, and team performance.

Working alongside our in-house Master Butcher, you will have the opportunity to develop and showcase your knowledge of premium cuts, butchery, grilling techniques, and meat-led menu development. We are looking for someone who can bring structure, consistency, creativity, and strong kitchen management to an already established and growing restaurant.

As Meat & Social continues to grow as a new concept and project, this role offers the chance to join our journey at an exciting stage and be part of shaping the future of the business.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day running of the kitchen and ensure smooth, efficient service.

Lead, train, motivate, and develop the back-of-house team.

Maintain consistently high standards of food quality, presentation, preparation, and cleanliness.

Work closely with the Master Butcher and management team on menu development, specials, events, and seasonal dishes.

Take responsibility for stock control, ordering, food GP, wastage, and kitchen costs.

Ensure all food safety, hygiene, health and safety, and allergen procedures are followed at all times.

Drive consistency across prep, service, portion control, and kitchen organisation.

Support the wider management team in building a positive, professional, and high-performing restaurant culture.

What We’re Looking For

Previous experience as a Head Chef in a busy, quality-focused restaurant environment.

Strong knowledge of meat, grilling, cooking temperatures, prep standards, and kitchen organisation.

Confident leadership skills with the ability to manage, train, and motivate a team.

Strong understanding of stock control, food GP, wastage, ordering, and kitchen financial performance.

Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.

A hands-on approach and the ability to lead by example during busy services.

A genuine passion for food, quality ingredients, and high standards.
