Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Indian Curry Chef to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in authentic Indian cuisine, specialising in curry preparation and food presentation. This role involves supervising kitchen operations, managing food production, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. The successful applicant will contribute to creating an inviting dining experience while leading a team of kitchen staff in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of traditional Indian curries, ensuring authentic flavours and presentation standards are maintained
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, including supervising junior staff and managing food production processes
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared in accordance with established recipes, quality standards, and food safety regulations
  • Manage inventory levels, order ingredients, and maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen
  • Lead and motivate the culinary team to achieve high performance and maintain a positive working environment
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction
  • Maintain strict adherence to health and safety guidelines at all times during food preparation and service

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Indian cuisine, with a focus on curry dishes, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
  • Supervising experience or team management skills are highly desirable
