A little about us….

The Fox & Barrel is a country pub, bar & restaurant set in the beautiful rural setting of Cotebrook, near Tarporley. We opened the pub in 2008 and over the years have achieved many accolades for our efforts including Cheshire Life Dining Pub of the Year, entries in the Good Food Guide, as well as being included in Estrella Damm’s Top 50 Gastropubs. In 2019 the pub underwent refurbishment including the addition of a larger, state of the art kitchen, which in 2021 has been followed by the inclusion of an open-air restaurant area with will be serviced with its own kitchen.

Our food philosophy is that everything is prepared and cooked in house, using local ingredients where we can. Our daily and seasonal changing menu allows for constant dish creativity and includes plenty of pub classics as well as dishes with a modern twist.

We are on the look out for a talented, passionate chef who has the desire to learn and further their career at our long-established business. You will learn how to efficiently manage a section and develop your skills in the process.

The successful candidate must be able to work as part of a team and at times independently, be enthusiastic, keen to learn and have a great eye for detailed presentation. A couple of years’ experience in a similar role would be beneficial but not a necessity, as long as you have the right attitude and a willingness to learn.
