Full job description

We're Currently looking for Junior / Chef de Partie to join the Kitchen Team ahead of the Summer.

The Swan is a 15th Century Pub that underwent a big refurbishment from 2021-2023.

It Reopened in November 2023 with new state of the art facilities including,

A new bar area with 20 draft beers from around the world,

A New Kitchen & Cellar with a brewery/distillery due to be installed later in 2026.

In April 2026 We opened a Bakery onsite which is operational Friday-Sunday every week,

Last year we placed in the Top 50 Good Food Guide Pubs & hope to better ourselves this year!

We're looking for driven individuals with Kitchen experience and are looking to advance their career.

Duties

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards, using fresh locally sourced ingredients.
  • work consistently under pressure alongside senior chefs to maintain a high level of quality.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Ensure all food is stored correctly, with proper labelling and rotation
  • Assist with inventory checks and stock replenishment as required

Requirements

  • Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or In a restaurant environment
  • Strong understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
  • Passion for culinary arts with a keen eye for detail and presentation
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Willingness to learn new techniques and develop culinary skills through on-the-job training
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues

This position provides an excellent platform for you to gain practical experience.

Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
