Location: Rushton, Northamptonshire
Position: Full-time, Permanent

Rushton Hall Hotel and Spa is a prestigious Grade 1 listed luxury Hotel and Spa set in stunning historic surroundings. We are seeking an exceptional Head Chef to lead our kitchen brigade and deliver outstanding culinary experiences that reflect the quality and reputation of our hotel.

The Role

As Head Chef, you will have full responsibility for the kitchen operation, driving creativity, consistency, and excellence across all food offerings, including Weddings, concept menus, private and large corporate events, and spa dining.

This is a hands on role and a key part of your role will be to build, nurture, and lead a high-performing kitchen team, creating a positive, professional, and collaborative working environment where individuals can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, inspire, and develop the kitchen team to the highest standards
  • Recruit, train, and mentor chefs at all levels, building a strong and stable brigade
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive kitchen culture that promotes teamwork and accountability
  • Create clear structures, communication, and expectations to ensure smooth service and consistency
  • Identify talent within the team and actively support career progression and skill development
  • Design and deliver seasonal, innovative menus using fresh ingredients
  • Maintain exceptional food quality, presentation, and consistency
  • Manage kitchen budgets, GP margins, stock control, and supplier relationships
  • Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations
  • Collaborate closely with senior management to enhance the overall guest experience
