Head Chef - Spitroast Smithdown

£34,000 + up to £4,000 performance bonus (paid quarterly)

Full time | Smithdown Road, Liverpool

Spitroast Smithdown is Liverpool's original rotisserie chicken restaurant — bold food, high energy, and a kitchen that moves. We're looking for a Head Chef who thrives on pace, takes real ownership of their kitchen, and holds the standard every single service.

What the role looks like

You'll run the kitchen day to day — the team, the food, the stock, and the numbers. You'll work to the standard set by the group's Head of Kitchen Operations & Culinary, and you'll be the person your team looks to when the pressure is on. This isn't a creative development role. It's a leadership role in a high-volume kitchen where consistency and pace are everything.

What we're looking for

  • Proven head chef or kitchen manager experience in a high-volume kitchen
  • High personal standards — and the ability to hold your team to them
  • Someone who leads from the section, not the office
  • Commercially aware — you understand food costs and you manage to them
  • Calm under pressure, organised, and reliable
