Here at the Rope and Anchor we are looking for a passionate chef to join us as we continue to grow our rerputation for great food in the heart of Poole old town, We are a small pub and pride ourselves on our excellent freshly cooked dishes and daily rotating specials, our roasts absolutley stand out and we love to bring new and exciting dishes to the menu.

If you are seriously passionate about food, want direct contact with the owners of the business who are hands on chefs and are prepared to take ownership of your dishes we want to hear from you!

Duties

  • Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring that all team members are trained in food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Manage food inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Develop new menu items and specials that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
  • Assist in training new kitchen personnel, fostering a positive team atmosphere.
  • Monitor kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow and timely service during peak hours.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Proven experience in supervising kitchen staff and managing a team effectively.
  • Excellent skills in food preparation techniques and culinary arts.
