JOB TITLE: Chefs Across All Grades - Galgorm Collection

JOB REFERENCE: CAG 06/26

REPORTING TO: Executive Chef

HOURS: Full-time/Part-time hours working 3-5 days out of 7.

JOB LOCATION: Galgorm Spa & Golf Resort

SALARY: Discussed at interview stage, dependent upon experience.

Job description:

Main duties will include but are not limited to:

  • The preparation of local fresh produce and cooking of various cuisines to a very high standard.
  • Running a kitchen section and taking responsibility for all dishes in your section ensuring consistent presentation every time.
  • Ensuring all meals are delivered on time.
  • Manage food standards and quality across all stages of food preparation and production ensuring high standards are consistently met.
  • Working alongside the Executive Chef and team to create and develop daily and weekly specials.
  • Assist in the training and development of junior chefs.
  • Ensuring minimum wastage and implementing new ideas for reducing wastage.
  • Working within and maintaining all associated Health, Safety, and Hygiene guidelines/procedures while working.
  • Comply with company food safety policies and legislation.
  • Maintain high levels of cleanliness at all times and making sure your personal appearance and uniform is in line with the required Resort standards at all times.

The Person:

Applicant must:

  • Be passionate about food and have a willingness to work hard in a dynamic evolving kitchen.
  • Have at least 1 year of experience working as a Chef, working within a busy kitchen environment.
  • Have a keen eye for detail and great organisational skills.
  • Enjoy working as part of a team, be able to multi-task, and work well under pressure.
  • Hold basic Food Hygiene Qualification or above.
  • Have a flexible approach to working shift patterns and be available to work days/evenings and weekends.
  • Must have a good, pleasant manner and be well presented.
  • Have a proven track record and shown loyalty throughout their career.
