Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation. This position requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of food safety and production, and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations and managing staff.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene.
  • Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to the restaurant's menu.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service.
  • Train, mentor, and supervise junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment.
  • Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
  • Contribute to menu development by providing creative input on new dishes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability in food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
  • Excellent leadership skills with experience in team management.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
