CHIEF FINANCE OFFICER (Re-advertisement)

*£60,285 - £66,860 (NJC PO10 SCP 54- PO12 SCP 59) 37 hours per week/52 weeks p.a.

**Holidays: 22 + 8 (bank holidays) plus two extra statutory days.

The Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (LIPA) is a world-renowned brand and brings with it an outstanding reputation in the school and arts community.

LIPA Mult Academy Trust is a growing, values-driven multi-academy trust, rich in cultural and social diversity. The Trust is made up of an ‘all through school’ 4-16 and a Sixth Form College, based in Liverpool. This role will be based at our offices in Federation House, central Liverpool. You will be joining our growing central team whose sole aim is to ensure that all children and students get the very best support, care and guidance that enables them to achieve their very best.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Our Trust is a place of possibility and we never underestimate the impact inspirational staff can have on the life chances of our children and students. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced finance leader with a proven track record to control the trust’s accounting, develop the Trust’s vision for effective financial management and support the central finance and schools/college teams ensuring compliance with statutory legal and financial regulations in addition to the Trust’s financial policies and procedures.

The main responsibilities of the role will be:

  • To provide leadership and management of all aspects of business and finance, so that the Trust and its schools can run smoothly, effectively and efficiently in the delivery of the core aims.
  • To ensure sound and appropriate financial governance and financial risk management arrangements and actively contribute to the work of the Trust and central executive team.
  • To provide senior financial leadership and play a key role in the raising of standards.
  • To be a role model for others in the quality of their own work.
  • To support the professional development of colleagues.
  • To be responsible for the operational line management of the business and finance function and managing all the financial accounting and transactional finance for the Trust ensuring all systems are up-to-date and reporting is timely and in line with required annual financial returns.
  • To monitor financial performance and have a detailed understanding of the financial performance of the Trust and its schools.
  • To drive change within the finance operation of the Trust bringing greater efficiency in the way the Trust carries out its business.
