Salary: £50,000

Are you ready to put your skills and experience into action in a community-based forward-thinking service?
Do you have a passion for early intervention and a drive to help children, young people, and their families thrive?
Can you bring the experience and insight needed to work in a healing-centred, trauma-informed way — creating meaningful, lasting change in the lives of those you support?

If the answer is ‘yes!’, then we hope that you will be interested to hear that Salus have been commissioned by Kent County Council to provide a Therapeutic Support Service for children and young people with mild to moderate emotional wellbeing needs, across Kent. We are looking for passionate, suitably qualified individuals to be part of a multi-disciplinary team where you’ll play a key role in shaping and developing an evolving service.

This groundbreaking new service will be co-produced, needs-led and underpinned by a robust clinical governance framework, aligned with NICE and NHS guidance.

The service will offer a ‘stepped-care’ approach, delivering scalable interventions ranging from self-help, group work and social prescribing to more targeted 1:1 clinical interventions, all tailored to developmental level, need, and family context, with consistent involvement of caregivers and schools to strengthen outcomes.

Key responsibilities for the postholder will include assessing the suitability of children and young people for Low Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (Li-CBT), primarily for those experiencing anxiety, low mood/depression, OCD, low self-esteem, trauma-related difficulties, and other presentations where CBT has proven clinical effectiveness.

While most interventions will be delivered on a 1-1 basis, there will also be opportunities for meaningful group work, giving you variety and a chance to make a real difference.

For more information, please contact Sally Williamson on 07725 595722 or Peter Heckel on 07725 595719.

Closing date: 9am on 24th October 2025

Interview date: 6th November

Any appointment will be made subject to a satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
