Full job description

Locations: Mansfield & Chesterfield
Hours: Full-time | Rota-based including alternate weekends
Shift Pattern: 15-hour shifts (7am – 10pm)
Salary: £32,000 per year (based on 3 shifts per week + 2 sleep-ins)

Key Requirements

We are looking for caring, compassionate and resilient individuals who are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people.

To be successful in this role, you should ideally have:

  • Experience working within residential childcare or a similar care setting
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or Children & Young People’s Workforce
  • Understanding of safeguarding and supporting vulnerable young people
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A positive, patient and nurturing approach
  • Flexibility to work rota-based shifts including alternate weekends

The following would also be advantageous:

  • Understanding of Ofsted standards and Children’s Home Regulations
  • Full UK Driving Licence

As a Residential Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in supporting children and young people within a residential setting, helping them feel safe, valued and empowered.

You will support young people with daily routines, emotional wellbeing, independence and personal development while creating a positive and stable home environment.
