Full job description

Responsible Individual (Children's Home) – Bolton

Everbright Care Ltd is seeking an experienced Responsible Individual (RI) to support the registration and operation of a new 2-bed children's home in Bolton.

The home is currently in the final stages of preparation, with an experienced Registered Manager already appointed and the property ready for Ofsted registration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight and governance of the children's home.
  • Ensure compliance with Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
  • Support the Registered Manager through the registration process and ongoing operation.
  • Monitor quality, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance.
  • Attend management meetings and provide strategic guidance.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Responsible Individual for an Ofsted-registered children's home.
  • Strong understanding of Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
  • Experience working with Ofsted and supporting registrations.
  • Excellent safeguarding and leadership knowledge.
  • Previous Responsible Individual experience and involvement in Ofsted registration processes are highly desirable.

Location: Bolton, Greater Manchester
Home Size: 2-bed children's home
Type: Flexible / Part-time / Consultancy arrangement considered
Start Date: Immediate
