Duties

• Prepare a variety of traditional Chinese dishes with precision and creativity, ensuring authentic flavors and presentation.
• Manage all aspects of food preparation, including chopping, marinating, cooking, and plating to meet quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering strictly to food safety regulations and sanitation protocols.
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate meal service efficiently during busy hours.
• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, restocking as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Follow standardized recipes and portion controls to ensure consistency across all dishes served.
• Assist in training junior kitchen staff on cooking techniques, safety procedures, and culinary best practices.

Experience

• Proven experience working as a Chinese chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant setting.
• Strong knowledge of Chinese cuisine, including regional specialties and traditional cooking methods.
• Hands-on experience with food preparation, meal assembly, and kitchen safety standards.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper handling of ingredients to prevent contamination.
• Previous experience serving guests or customers directly is a plus, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Culinary training or certification related to Chinese cuisine is preferred but not mandatory.
