Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chinese Cook to join our vibrant culinary team. Responsibilities

  • Prepare a variety of traditional and contemporary Chinese dishes, including appetizers, main courses, and desserts, following established recipes and presentation standards
  • Ensure all food is prepared efficiently, maintaining consistency in taste, texture, and appearance
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
  • Monitor ingredient freshness and manage inventory levels to minimize waste
  • Collaborate with team members to coordinate meal preparation during busy service hours
  • Adhere strictly to food safety protocols, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
  • Assist in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety standards

Requirements

  • Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or culinary setting, preferably with a focus on Chinese cuisine
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, including meal preparation, food safety practices, and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent understanding of culinary techniques specific to Chinese dishes such as stir-frying, steaming, braising, and roasting
  • Prior restaurant experience is highly desirable, along with serving experience that emphasizes customer satisfaction
  • Good physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift kitchen equipment or ingredients as needed
  • A positive attitude with strong teamwork skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals
