Job Title: Warehouse Operative
Working hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (30‑minute lunch break)
Hourly rate: £13.50 – £14.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and stock goods using appropriate equipment (e.g., forklifts).
• Operate the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track inventory, update records, and process orders accurately.
• Pick and pack orders to ensure timely dispatch while maintaining quality standards.
• Manage shipping and receiving: prepare outbound goods and verify incoming deliveries against purchase orders.
• Conduct regular stock checks and participate in inventory audits to maintain accuracy.
• Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on warehouse equipment as needed.
• Follow all health and safety procedures, especially for heavy lifting and load handling.
• Keep the warehouse clean and organised to promote safety and efficiency.
• Collaborate with team members to optimise workflows and improve overall performance.

Requirements

• Proven warehouse experience, with knowledge of materials handling, picking/packing, and stock management.
• Mechanical knowledge or forklift operating experience is highly desirable; valid certification is an advantage.
• Familiarity with WMS or similar inventory software.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and regularly.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills for quality control.
• Experience in shipping/receiving is preferred but not mandatory.
• Good physical fitness to work in a demanding environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract

Pay: £13.50-£14.00 per hour
