Bilingual (Mandarin & English) Personal Assistant
Location: North London (N2)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule: 6 days per week, approx. 10 hours per day
About the Role
We are seeking a professional, proactive, and highly organised Mandarin and English Bilingual Personal Assistant to provide dedicated one-to-one business and personal support to the employer. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, exceptional organisational ability, a high level of discretion, and the flexibility to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the employer’s family and personal diary, appointments, meetings, travel arrangements, and private commitments.
- Handle a wide range of personal and household administrative duties, including ad hoc requests, errands, and day-to-day matters.
- Coordinate and arrange household repairs, maintenance, and other home-related services, liaising with contractors and suppliers as required.
- Manage household bills, payments, expenses, and related records accurately and efficiently.
- Oversee day-to-day household purchasing, including sourcing and purchasing household and personal items as required.
- Coordinate with other household staff and external service providers to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the household.
- Assist with the planning, coordination, and hosting of private and household events.
- Provide fluent Mandarin-English interpretation and written translation in both business and everyday settings, including real-time interpretation when required.
- Draft and prepare formal documents, correspondence, agreements, and professional emails on the employer’s behalf.
- Liaise professionally with suppliers, contractors, household staff, and other personal or professional contacts on the employer’s behalf.
- Accompany the employer on business and personal trips where required, assisting with travel arrangements, meeting coordination, interpretation, and communications.
- Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality, discretion, professionalism, and integrity when handling personal, household, and business information.
- Anticipate the employer’s needs and proactively provide dependable day-to-day support to ensure the smooth and efficient management of both personal and professional affairs.
Essential Requirements
- Native or near-native fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and English, with excellent interpreting and communication skills.
- Previous experience as a Private Assistant, Executive Assistant, Interpreter, or in a similar one-to-one support role.
- Outstanding organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong sense of professionalism, integrity, and discretion.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Professional presentation and understanding of business etiquette.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and travel domestically and internationally as required.
- Legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
Desirable Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree or higher, preferably from a leading university.
- Experience supporting senior executives, entrepreneurs, or high-net-worth individuals.
- International work or study experience.
- Familiarity with cross-cultural communication and international business environments.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and other productivity software.
