Full job description

UK Field Based (Midlands)
Company Electric Vehicle Provided

We’re recruiting for an experienced EV Charger Engineer to join an established business within the EV charging sector, covering sites across the UK.

This is a field-based role and we’re specifically looking for someone with strong DC charger experience. You’ll be attending commercial and private sites carrying out repair, maintenance and fault finding, so you’ll need to be comfortable getting hands-on, diagnosing problems and finding the solution.

The role will involve both planned and reactive maintenance, inspecting and testing equipment, troubleshooting faults and getting chargers back up and running. There will also be some work with AC chargers, but DC experience is the key requirement for this one.

You may also get involved with testing and configuring DC chargers, testing firmware, apps and cloud integrations and feeding information back to the product and R&D teams. It’s a varied technical role rather than simply moving from installation to installation.

We’re looking for someone with at least 2 years’ experience working with DC EV chargers, ideally alongside 18th Edition, 2391 Test & Inspection and an ECS Card. Experience of OCPP protocol would also be a big advantage.

As you’ll be representing the business out on the road, you’ll need to be confident dealing with customers and contractors, happy working independently and comfortable travelling throughout the UK.

A full clean UK driving licence is essential and a company electric vehicle will be provided.

Salary is £40,000 - £45,000 depending on experience.

If you’re already working as an EV Charger Engineer, DC Charger Engineer, EV Service Engineer, EV Maintenance Engineer or Field Service Engineer and have the DC experience we’re looking for, we’d love to hear from you.

Pay: £40,000.00-£48,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
