Job Title: Chiropractic Assistant/Receptionist (Part-time, 12 hrs per week)

Superstar needed for a busy multi-disciplinary healthcare clinic in Leith!

We are looking for an organised and motivated Chiropractic Assistant/Receptionist who is keen to grow with our business, and join our caring and friendly team at Connect Spinal Health.

Job Overview:

You will be responsible for operating a busy front of house reception in our clinic, supporting our Chiropractors, Massage Therapist, and Nutritionist in giving an outstanding experience to each client, and performing a variety of administrative duties. You will be a chiropractic advocate and support our clients on their journey to better health. Exceptional training and support will be provided. This role is ideally suited to those with previous face-to-face customer service experience.

Two weeks of training will be provided. You must be available to start work on Monday 15th July 2024 and be able to work all of the following afternoon shifts (12 hrs per week):

Mondays - 1:45pm-7:45pm

Thursdays - 1:45pm-7:45pm

You may be asked to work additional hours as required, such as covering holidays for our Chiropractic Assistant team. Your shifts are set hours, but may be subject to change.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Greet all clients in a friendly and professional manner and ensure they are looked after efficiently & enthusiastically, maintaining a first-class service.
  • Manage the appointment booking system through patient management software.
  • Respond to emails & phone calls in a professional manner.
  • Record daily, weekly, and monthly statistics.
  • Be responsible for daily opening and closing of the clinic.
  • Take part in our fortnightly patient health classes and external talks.
  • Maintain high standard of cleanliness throughout the clinic.
  • Collect, process, & manage client payments and insurance claims.
  • Encourage clients to join our wellbeing membership community.
  • Develop and maintain effective office systems using our clinic procedures.
  • Always maintain confidentiality, dealing with sensitive issues tactfully and discreetly.
  • Participate in growing client numbers and clinic success through marketing and promotional activities.
  • Have a good understanding of chiropractic or be willing to develop knowledge through additional training.
  • Attend regular team meetings, monthly training days, and external seminars as required.
  • Provide holiday cover for other Chiropractic Assistants when required.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is self-motivated and comfortable managing their time without supervision.
  • Has experience of working in a customer-facing role providing exceptional customer service.
  • Has great communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to show empathy and relate to all kinds of people.
  • Is organised, punctual, and reliable.
  • Is able to work in a busy, fast paced environment, whilst remaining calm and confident.
  • Is available to work all shifts listed above and additional holiday cover as required.
  • Has excellent IT computer skills (Microsoft Office & Patient Management Software).
  • Has a Can-Do attitude. A good team player with a positive mindset.
  • Can demonstrate an ability to quickly and proficiently understand and absorb new information.
  • Has an interest in natural healthcare and alternative therapies. No experience or knowledge of chiropractic is necessary, but the successful candidate must be willing to learn and develop their knowledge.
