Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist
Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist
Job details
Full job description
TWChiropractic is a multidisciplinary MSK practice in the Rhymney Valley, founded in 2016. We're expanding from two treatment rooms to seven, and we're looking for our first physiotherapist to build and own the physiotherapy and rehabilitation side of the practice.
The equipment you'll actually get to use
We invest heavily in kit, and every clinician is trained on all of it:
- IDD Therapy spinal decompression — the only system in Wales. Patients travel to us from Swansea and Bridgend
- EMS Swiss DolorClast shockwave and high-power laser
- Stimpod NMS460 neuromodulation and pulsed radiofrequency — we're the only Welsh provider, and we're launching a dedicated nerve and sciatica clinic
- Footscan gait analysis with Phits 3D-printed custom orthotics
- RockTape IASTM, cupping, compression flossing, Hyperice contrast therapy
Mentorship
- Direct mentorship from the Clinic Director, a chiropractor in practice since 2014 who founded and built this clinic
- Go-To Clinic Hub membership (Dave O'Sullivan) — full access, funded by us
- Hands-on training on every modality we run — shockwave, laser, IDD, Stimpod, gait analysis and orthotic prescription, IASTM, flossing. You will not be handed a manual and left to it
- Our in-house clinical knowledge system — structured quizzes and knowledge testing that keep the whole team sharp rather than comfortable
- Weekly team meetings where cases get discussed, reasoning gets challenged, and nobody's clinical opinion is above scrutiny
Development
We fund CPD toward your chosen area of specialty, not a generic allowance nobody uses. If you want to go deep on tendinopathy, running biomechanics, persistent pain, shoulder, or something we haven't thought of, we'll back it.
What we're actually after is breadth and depth: clinicians who can reason across systems rather than defaulting to a protocol. That means having your beliefs challenged and your ceilings moved. If you want a job where nobody questions how you think, this isn't it. If you want to be significantly better in three years than you are today, it is.
Where this is going
The expansion turns us into a genuinely multidisciplinary clinic — chiropractic, physiotherapy, sports therapy and rehabilitation under one roof. That changes the job:
- Internal referrals and co-management — you'll have chiropractors and a sports therapist to refer to and work alongside, not a waiting list to hand people off to
- Building better local and NHS pathways — we sit within Aneurin Bevan, and developing those referral routes properly is part of the plan
- Real input into how the service is built, because you'll be the one delivering it
Pay and hours
You'll start on £30,000 for 32 hours a week (Mon/Tues/Fri), through a four-month probationary period.
With an option to move to full-time (37.5 a week) as the new treatment rooms come online.
Each day has a protected 90-minute midday block: 30 minutes for lunch, and a paid hour for notes, case discussion and training. That's 156 paid non-clinical hours a year. You will not be writing up patients at 9pm.
Beyond salary there's an uncapped, KPI-linked bonus: once your billings pass an agreed threshold, you keep half of everything above it.
What we offer
- Permanent employed (PAYE) contract from day one
- 179.2 hours paid annual leave including bank holidays
- Employer pension contributions and statutory sick pay
- Funded CPD toward your chosen specialty
- Full reception and diary support, plus active marketing generating new patient enquiries
What we're looking for
- HCPC registration (CSP membership desirable)
- Sound MSK assessment, manual therapy and exercise rehabilitation skills
- Willingness to manage spinal, upper and lower limb presentations with support
- Genuine interest in technology-led rehabilitation and measurable outcomes
- Newly qualified and early-career applicants are actively welcome — structured mentoring and supervision are provided.
To apply
Send your CV along with a short covering note telling us what you'd want to get better at to info@twchiropractic.com
If you'd like to visit the clinic and see the equipment before applying, we'd rather you did — just ask!
Interviews will be taking place the week commencing 16 November 2026
We're unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
