Sports Therapist

JT Chiropractic is looking to recruit a fully qualified Sports Massage Therapist to join the team at a busy Chiropractic Clinic in Hoylake, Wirral.

The Sports Massage Therapist will support patients alongside Chiropractic intervention by providing sports massage to help prevent injury whilst helping patients to maintain a healthy body and promote overall wellness.

You are not always required to diagnose but to recognise when to co-manage with the Chiropractors. Our previous Sports Massage Therapist was highly thought of by our patients but is sadly moving on, so we require another pair of hands to take over.

The role will begin with part-time hours (approx 10 hours per week), over 2 half day shifts Mondays pm 2-7pm and Friday morning 8:30-1:30pm, with more shifts available if desired as your patient base fills. The clinic is open Monday & Tuesday and Thursday & Friday. The position will require you to do at least one morning and one evening shift per week. No Saturdays required. Negotiable on days and times for the right candidate. Your contract will be on a self-employed basis with a generous percentage base.

You must have excellent sports massage skills, injury knowledge and full insurance cover through your accredited body.

To be successful with your application you must be friendly, confident, willing to learn and approachable, with great communication skills. These attributes are essential in fitting into the team and building a rapport with patients.

We welcome applications from new graduates, so, although previous experience is preferable for the role, as you will be taking over a patient base from previous therapists, experience is not essential. We will provide full support to the right candidate who is eager to learn new skills to further their knowledge and experience.

The role will include:

· Providing Sports Massage to a range of sporting and non-sporting patients.

· Injury Assessment, Treatment and Rehabilitation.

· Co-management with the Chiropractor

· Regular CPD/in-house training and knowledge sharing.

Essential:

· BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy or equivalent.

· Full professional insurance and relevant memberships (i.e. SST, SMA, BASRaT).

JT Chiropractic Clinic is a thriving business located in Hoylake, Wirral. The clinic is only a short distance from both Chester and Liverpool. We have a well-established patient base, with our Chiropractor currently at full capacity. Our clinic and its values are well respected within the community, and we have strong connections with GPs, midwives and a variety of local businesses and sports clubs.
