Full job description

About the Role:

We are looking for caring people to join our teams in Maidstone. You will be supporting people who live in their own flats within our mental health service. Your role is to help people with everyday tasks so they can live as independently as possible.

Each day will be different. You may help with cooking, shopping and light cleaning, support people to take part in activities, attend appointments with them, and help with managing money. You will also provide emotional support and help people through difficult times. This is a rewarding role where you can make a real difference to someone’s life.

Hours

We have 2 positions available. One is a part-time role of 19 hours per week and the other is full time 39 hour per week.

You will work a mix of shifts including 8am to 4pm, 2pm to 10pm, and a sleep-in shift from 10pm to 7am. You will be expected to work 2 out of 4 weekends, and sleep-in shifts are a required part of the role.

Location

The homes are based in Maidstone, Kent, ME16. The services have easy access, with good transport links and free parking available on site.

About You

You do not need previous experience for this role, as full training will be provided. What is most important is that you are kind, patient and respectful, and that you are able to stay calm and work well under pressure. You should be willing to work as part of a team and have a genuine interest in helping others.

A full UK driving licence is not essential but would be useful.

Please note that we are unable to offer sponsorship, please only apply if you can work in the UK.

We may close this post early if we receive sufficient applications before the closing date. If you are interested in applying, we would ask that you do so as early as possible to avoid any disappointment.

To keep the people we support safe, we follow safer recruitment steps. This includes DBS checks, reference checks and reviewing your work history.
